The publication of the Government’s 5G Strategy is welcome. If the Government wants to build on its Digital Strategy to ensure the UK continues to be a world leader in the digital economy, it must put in place effective foundations to get there. We look forward to working closely with the Government to develop and implement its 5G strategy.

It is also important that the UK Government and nations continue to facilitate, through regulatory reform and other measures, the mobile operators continuing network roll-out. Planning reforms in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales are still to be put into effect and the Digital Economy Bill is currently passing through Parliament.
