Connected Britain 2024: Exploring The State Of Play For The UK Mobile Industry

Connected Britain returns this September and Mobile UK will be there once again.

As we gear up for this year’s event, we can announce that Mobile UK will be moderating the ‘Future of Rural Connectivity’ panel and participating in the ‘State of Play for the UK Mobile Industry’ session.

Future of Rural Connectivity

On the first day (11 September), our Director of Policy and Communications Gareth Elliott, will moderate what will no doubt prove to be an insightful panel discussion focused on ‘Driving Rural Economies and Industry with Digital Infrastructure’.

The session will explore the transformative power of connectivity, highlighting how enhanced digital networks can fuel economic growth in rural regions. It will be an opportunity for attendees to understand the critical role connectivity plays in ensuring that businesses outside urban areas are not left behind but are empowered to thrive in a competitive market.

State of Play for the UK Mobile Industry

Also on day one, Mobile UK will participate in the ‘State of Play for the UK Mobile Industry’ session. This panel will take a holistic view of the UK mobile market, addressing the pressing need for investment in infrastructure. It will offer a chance to dissect where funding originates and how it can be channelled effectively to bolster the UK’s digital future.

The session will highlight the importance of collaboration between the mobile industry, local authorities, and key stakeholders.
