Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Mayor, James Palmer, backing #BuildingMobileBritain

Mobile UK and the Mayor of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, James Palmer, met today to discuss mobile coverage and what solutions might be available to make mobile infrastructure deployment easier in the region.
Both sides agreed to work together to look for practical solutions and to back Mobile UK's #BuidlingMobileBritain campaign which aims to reduce barriers to mobile infrastructure roll-out.
Mayor of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, James Palmer, said:
“Cambridgeshire and Peterborough continue to suffer from coverage issues; not only the third of the people who live in villages and rural communities but also many who live on our market towns. In this day and era, with digital connectivity central to our daily lives and business, this needs to be improved.”
“I am very happy to support Mobile UK’s #BuildingMobileBritain campaign to work in partnership with the mobile industry to understand and unlock barriers to mobile infrastructure deployment across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.”
Hamish MacLeod, Mobile UK Director, said:
"I very much welcome the Mayor's backing of our #BuildingMobileBritain and to work with him towards our shared goals of creating the best environment to assist mobile operators in their drive to improving mobile connectivity."
